When asked what one can expect from the first female festival director for the Singapore Writers Festival in 2019, Pooja Nansi quips: "I am bringing my ovaries to the game."

The poet and performer, not one to mince her words, is the first female director of the annual literary festival. At 37 years old, she is also the youngest.
