Singaporeans living in Paris lament impact of violent protests on small businesses

SINGAPORE - Cars were overturned, some in flames; buses were wrecked. Glass panels were shattered, and debris littered the street in central Paris.

As these events unfolded on Saturday (Dec 1), Mr Mashizan Masjum - a Singaporean shoe designer based in the French capital - watched from his atelier along Avenue de Friedland near the Arc de Triomphe.
