SINGAPORE - Gary Woodland does not qualify as a star, isn't included in the Forbes top-earners list, has never played in the Ryder Cup, is not stalked by the paparazzi and has 1/70th the Twitter followers of Tiger Woods.

He is not famous for wearing a signature shirt colour nor is he known for composing shots that deserve to hang in an athletic Louvre. At best his style - at least what he occasionally demonstrated on Sunday - involved walking with his hands in his pockets.
