SINGAPORE - The Covid-19 crisis is expected to last for several more years but any decision to continue hosting the Singapore Grand Prix beyond 2021 will rest on the direction of Formula One and not the pandemic.

Last year's night race was cancelled due to the outbreak while this year's event, scheduled for Oct 3 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, is the last under the current four-year extension signed in 2017.
