Workers from hard-hit sectors seconded to firms with hiring demand

SINGAPORE - Mr Hau Teck Poh had been in the construction line for more than 35 years, before his supervisor job at a subcontractor firm was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the last seven months, he has been seconded to work as a storekeeper at German logistics firm DB Schenker. Among his tasks are scanning products, arranging them onto pallets and verifying details such as the delivery addresses.
