Activity, which involves picking up trash while jogging, is gaining popularity around the globe

Plogging, a new fitness trend that combines jogging and picking up litter, started in Sweden in 2016 and is catching on around the world.

Former competitive kayaker Lee Leong Hui easily knocks back 100 to 200 sets of push-ups, crunches and pull-ups weekly at the gym.

Last Thursday, however, the 23-year-old graduate finance analyst was already asking for water after half an hour of "plogging" at East Coast beach.
