With sea-level rise posing a grave threat, Singapore must look at a range of solutions alongside the engineering options highlighted by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech, experts said.

Associate Professor Adam Switzer, principal investigator for the Nanyang Technological University's Earth Observatory of Singapore, said carefully engineered reclamations and flood defences based on accurate local projections of sea-level change are likely to be the best options for Singapore.
