Dating apps may have reached their peak with Gen Z. Here’s why

Growing up in the age of social media, it was no surprise that I created a profile on a dating app when I was 19.

I had little intention of finding a partner or going on a date, but I wanted to understand the appeal of these platforms. From matching with men who only wanted to hook up, to investing in superficial conversations, it had me questioning why a tool that was created to make dating more convenient caused so much frustration.
