We thank Mr Ho Meng Hee for his letter (Management councils can be as big a problem as proxy issue; Feb 28).

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) concluded its final consultation on the proposed amendments to the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA) in February.

The proposed amendments include making changes to the proxy system that Mr Ho had highlighted.

We will carefully consider all feedback and suggestions received in the public consultation before finalising the amendments to the BMSMA.

Nonetheless, we note Mr Ho's feedback on the issues within his estate. He may wish to contact BCA at bca_enquiry@bca.gov.sg and provide us with more details.
