US Justice Department to seek clarity on Malaysia's intentions over of the luxury yacht Equanimity

Indonesia's handing over of the luxury yacht Equanimity to the Malaysian government has put both countries in the cross hairs of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).

In filings to the Central District Court of California obtained by The Straits Times, the DOJ indicated that it had belatedly learnt of the handover of the storied vessel linked to the money-laundering scandal at 1MDB.
