The media organ of Malaysia's Islamist party, which is dominated by news of what PAS officials say and do, is rebranding itself as mainstream media with sports coverage on English Premier League and the Bundesliga, recipes as well as sections for women and youth.

The print version of Harakah and its digital version Harakah Daily, want to woo readers who have seen the governing coalition Pakatan Harapan (PH) grabbing control of most mainstream media, while popular online news such as Malaysiakini and Malay Mail report extensively on the unending political bickering in the country.
