It would be foolish for jailed politician Anwar Ibrahim to be installed as prime minister immediately after he returns to Parliament, Tun Daim Zainuddin, who heads the Elders Council under Malaysia's new administration, has said.

Datuk Seri Anwar, 70, could receive a royal pardon as early as tomorrow, paving the way for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) prime minister-in-waiting to run in a by-election and become an MP.
