Crushing by-election defeat in Johor piles pressure on Malaysian PM Mahathir

"Guests at the dinner event gave a thunderous applause when I announced the PH (Pakatan Harapan) government's heavy defeat in the Tanjung Piai by-election."

These are words you would expect from an opposition leader after PH was thrashed in last Saturday's vote in the southern tip of Johor, but they were in fact posted on Twitter by the Chinese-dominated Democratic Action Party's (DAP) Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng.
