The Beijing BISS International School (BISS), a Singaporean-run school that was one of the first few international schools established in the Chinese capital, has run into financial difficulty.

In a note sent to parents on Sept 20 via WeChat, the school said it would be closed from Sept 21 to 25 for "internal business reasons".
