BEIJING (CAIXIN GLOBAL) - Carbon neutrality has been the buzzword in China in recent months.

Last September, Chinese President Xi Jinping told the United Nations General Assembly that China would achieve a carbon emissions peak before 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. To keep that promise, the Chinese authorities have begun to take action. A meeting on Monday of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission chaired by Mr Xi reiterated the need to reduce greenhouse-gas carbon emissions.
