HONG KONG • As Hong Kong's protests continue into their 18th week, human resource executive Canis Yip has been finding it increasingly difficult to focus on anything else.

She receives a constant barrage of messages on her phone, which she checks "hundreds of times a day", by her own admission, reading Telegram groups and LIHKG forums till the wee hours of the morning.
