SYDNEY - Talks between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Australian counterpart Penny Wong on March 20 marked the first high-level visit by a Chinese official to Australia in seven years. Yet, arguably, the most significant feature of the visit was that it seemed so ordinary.
In a sign that relations between the two countries are finally returning to a degree of normalcy, Mr Wang’s visit to Canberra passed without controversy and generated little fanfare.
